Minnie Lucille Jordan

JORDAN, Minnie Lucille East, 91, of Chesterfield, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. and Richmond Va., went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2010. She was born and reared in Halifax, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Clarence; sisters, Faye, Rosalie and Christine; and brothers, Joe, Robert, Harry and W.M. Lucille is survived by her children, David Lloyd Jordan and wife, Sheila, Linda Lee Williams and husband, Michael, Carolyn Faye Nicholls and husband, Ronald, and Brian Christopher Jordan and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Nathaniel David and William Seth Jordan, Michael Christopher and Thomas Craig Williams and Andrew Joseph and David Mark Nicholls and Sheridan East and Everette Christopher Jordan; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Zachary, Michael, Ethan, Audrey, Lydia and Isabelle Jordan and Connor Craig Williams.

She was formerly a member of Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church, Richmond and First Baptist Church, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. She was an active member of Woman's Missionary Union, a devoted wife for 55 years and a loving mother, sister and daughter.

The family will receive friends today, Friday, May 21, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va.
