Peggy Ann Burns

Peggy Ann Burns (Lincoln) – Mechanicsville, VA Peggy Burns, born September 22,1941 in Oklahoma City, passed peacefully into the loving arms of our savior February, 22, 2021. She attended Central High School in Oklahoma City (1959). She married William Burns at Olivet Baptist Church in Oklahoma City in 1960. They were called into the ministry at Nellis Baptist Church in N. Las Vegas, NV and served the Lord in the pastorate for 31 years in multiple churches in Arizona, California, Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri and Utah, and served as Mission Services Corps missionaries for 21 years throughout the United States. Peggy held several secretarial and auditor positions throughout her life. Her passions were painting, crocheting and reading. She loved spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by her loving husband, her children Jack Burns, Elizabeth Grimes and Christian Joy Anderson, along with their spouses, Becky Burns, Phil Grimes and Chad Anderson, and her six grandchildren, Abby and Kentaro Crocket, Emily, Ian and Olivia Burns, Zack and Micah Anderson. She is survived by her brother Gayle Lincoln and sister, Bea Dozier. She has joined her precious daughter, Virginia Gayle (1963-66), her parents, Jack and Millie Lincoln, her sister Jackie and her brothers Jimmy and Johnny Lincoln. Visitation will be at Woody Funeral Home in Mechanicsville, VA, March 4 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at The Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, VA.
