Steve worked as a mechanical engineer at Philip Morris for many years before retiring from AMF Bakery in 2020.
Steve loved classic Chevys and enjoyed showing his cars at many local shows. Most of his free time was spent golfing on week days and living his best life at Trice’s Lake on weekends with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Graham Campbell; mother, Melba Jean Campbell; brother, Michael Campbell; sister, Vera Talley; and grandson, Earnest Long.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vickie Borkey Campbell; daughter, Hannah Long (Kevin); grandsons, Teddy Long, Franklin Long, and another grandson due to arrive soon; brother, Jeff Campbell (Marilyn); faithful dog, Myla, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends from 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Woody’s Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville.
