He was born on December 31, 1932, and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet devotion to those he loved.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Harvey Jackson and Rosetta Flowers Jackson; his brothers, Billy, McKeever, Louis, and Stuart; his sister, Catherine; his wife, Virginia Fauber Jackson; and his son, Paul Vernon Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Butch (Rhodora), Donnie (Barbara), David, Debbie (Bill), Kim (Matt), and Tracey; daughter-in-law, Amy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were the greatest joy of his life. Vernon’s deepest love was for his family, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
A faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and, above all else, spending time with his family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel. Where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m., with burial to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
