Lee “Corky” was born March 19th, 1949 in Blytheville, Arkansas. His parents were Harr F. Grimes, Jr. and Jean L. Carr. Our family moved to the Rogue Valley area in 1955. He attended Jackson Elementary, Hedrick Junior High, graduated from Medford Senior High. He is a member of Bethel Church.
Lee thoroughly enjoyed the Medford area with all the fishing lakes and rivers, hunting in the woods; playing baseball and golf. He enjoyed most outdoor activities including camping and motorcycle trips. His jobs included time with Timber Products, Pacific Railroad, and Harry and David as foreman in the Bear Creek Orchards. Lee retired as a certified licensed plumber with U.A. Union Local 290. Once upon a time, he even had a horse ranch, the “Circle G”.
Lee is survived by his daughters Brandy Lynn of Oregon and Amber Lee Dawn of Washington, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister; Bonny Lee L. Doyle of Redding, California and lots of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Lee, known by most as “Corky” was a good man with a gentle soul.
