Born in Upland, CA and raised in Ontario, CA, Martha graduated from Chaffey High School in 1961. She spent most of her life in the Rogue Valley.
Many knew her as “Martha from the bank” from her employment at Jefferson State Bank, First Interstate Bank, Bank of Southern Oregon, and PremierWest Bank. Later she moved to Bothel, WA, where she was a loan assistant at Prime Pacific Bank.
Returning to the Rogue Valley at retirement, she kept busy volunteering at the Medford Visitor Center, the Airport Visitor Center, and Table Rock Christian Fellowship and harassing the good people at Central Point Senior Center.
Everyone knew Martha. There are random people who met her on a plane or in a store who will never forget her. Returning from trips, she’d share their life stories with her family. Similarly, employees at Macy’s, Trader Joe’s, and Albertsons must be wondering where the hell Martha is. She’s doing great guys! We cremated her just as she had asked because it was her last chance at a smoking hot body again.
Martha loved ALL people, appreciating their value and potential. She had basically given every material possession away. If she had something that could make someone else more comfortable, she saw no reason to keep it.
With that same selflessly spirit and an amazing faith she reared three strong, independent, successful daughters and eight tough-as-nails grandchildren—fiercely loving each one.
Martha will be missed by her siblings, James Sellers and Mary Fisher; daughters, Heather Adams, Nicole Richey and Melissa Redding; and grandchildren, Zack Walker, Jordan Williams, Jonah Richey, Alex Redding, Bella Grace, Ani Richey, Brooklyn Redding and Royce Adams.
Please honor Martha’s life with a donation to Central Point Senior Center. (A private celebration of Martha’s life will be held later.)
