Melvin Archie Drew

Melvin was born on September 14,1930 in Qulin Missouri to Dell and Ruth Drew. He graduated from Analy High School in Sebastopol CA. He then went on to start his own business doing septic and underground construction known as Mel Drew Septic Tanks and later formed Delta Pre-Cast where he operated the businesses for more than 55 years.

Melvin married, his beloved wife Opal of 54 yrs, in 1967. Together they raised 6 children.

He liked hunting, working and spending time with his family. He also liked to keep an eye on the weather forecast, ‘due to his work”. You could always catch him watching a baseball game, he was a hard-working family man, a Dad and a Papa who liked to show up and watch the kids sporting events.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Opal, his brother Dewayne, his 4 sons, Dewayne, Greg, Earl, Melvin Jr. and daughter, Janice, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

His daughter Pam, both of his parents and 5 siblings, preceded him in death.

Melvin, or Papa as so many knew him had a big, loving heart and beautiful smile that will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

The Celebrations of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 3 p.m.

It will be held at Family Bible Church, 697 Benicia Drive, Santa Rosa, CA.
