Philippa Anne Macfarlane (nee Macann) died at her home “Moeraki House” in Southern Oregon, United States on December 25, 2016. Philippa was born November 1, 1936 in Oxford New Zealand. She immigrated to California in 1965 with her first husband Roger Macfarlane, and two beloved daughters, where she resided until she retired in 2000 from Stanford University. She moved to Southern Oregon with her second husband, Clair Thorne where they resided at Moeraki House. Philippa left a light footprint on this earth, but her contributions are a “pebble in the pond” that have affected the lives of many. She will forever be in our hearts. “A Mother at Rest”.
