His home was always filled with custom built bookshelves, small furniture, and various carvings that he crafted. Many family members and friends have one of his hand carved chains or custom wooden ornaments. Over his lifetime he single-handedly completed multiple big remodeling projects on the various properties he owned as well as volunteered numerous hours building and installing the wooden bookshelves that fill the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society in Phoenix.
