Elaine Litchfield

Born on April 5, 1925, in Lyndonville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Newell and Ada (Furness) Barnum.

Elaine grew up in Lyndonville, NY, graduating from Lyndonville High School. She married the late Robert P. Litchfield on February 12, 1947, together making their home in the Medina/Lyndonville area.

Elaine was mostly a dedicated mother, but at one time worked at Fisher-Price and retired from there in April of 1987. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and playing cards. Elaine was gentle natured with a warm way with all she met.

Elaine is survived by her children, Christine Mintz of S. Carolina, Dawn Litchfield of Dallas, TX, Patrice (William) Swenson of Plano, TX, Pam Brunette of Hamlin, NY, Paul and Lisa Litchfield, both of Dallas, TX. Eleven grandchildren, Matthew Kunzweiler, Nadeen Stewart, Jachob Scott, Rebekah, Sarah, and Isaac Mintz, Steven Litchfield, Bronwyn Walls, Sam and Maggie Swenson and Alex Brunette. Also, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine is predeceased by a son, Guy Litchfield and two sisters, Joyce Carroll and Lynette Rice.

Relatives and friends may call on from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY then a graveside service will be held at the Bates Rd. Cemetery, Medina.
