Emma E. Belson

Born March 18, 1921 in the Town of Carlton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Minnie M. (Cann) Furness.

She grew up in Carlton, NY and in 1960 moved to the Medina area and at one time she worked as a seamstress at the former Newell Shirt Factory. She was a member of the Hartland Bible Church, serving on the Women’s Missionary Fellowship and Ladies Bible Study. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and knitting.

She is survived by four children: Sharon (Albert) Bowman of Oak Hill, WV,

Lorie (Ronald) Brigham of Medina, William (Linda) Belson of Medina, Chris (Sandra) Belson of Manassas, VA. 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great-grandchildren, 3 Great-great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Willis P. Belson and six siblings.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday April 21, 2013 from 2-3 PM at the Hartland Bible Church, 8110 West Ave., Gasport, NY 14067 where a funeral service will follow at 3PM with the Rev. Floyd Finch officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made in Emma’s name to Alzheimer’s Association, 2805 Wehrle Dr., Buffalo, NY 14221 or to the charity of one’s choice.
