Gordon A. Bennett

Born on February 22, 1936 in N. Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Delbert and Margaret (Batka) Bennett.

Gordon enlisted in the U.S. Army and on returning home he married the late and former Carol Ann Litchard and together they raised four children. He retired as a furnace attendant from Harrison Radiator and he enjoyed working on his antique cars and going to car shows.

He is survived by his children, James (Judy) Bennett of Lyndonville; Margaret (Joe) O’Brien of Holley; Matthew (Sandy) Bennett of Medina; grandchildren’ Joshua; Heather; Matthew; Justin; two great- grandchildren, Leah and Earl and several brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he is predeceased by a son, Joseph and a grandson, Bobby Grah.

Relative and friends may call on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 10 AM- 12PM at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY with a funeral service at 12 NOON with the Rev. Rich Damey officiating. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.
