Our mother loved riding her horses as a young girl, most times being her only means of transportation to school and back.
With the exception of 4 years in Alaska and a few years in California, she spent her life in Meeker. She was a country girl to the core. Strong and extremely independent and tough as nails. She loved her little piece of land in Lion Canyon.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Geneva Findlay, three spouses - Carl Stoneman, Oley Williams and Tomie Dillashaw, and 3 children Johnny Stoneman, Carlene Stoneman and Billy Stoneman.
Gladys is survived by her beloved Aunt Marge Fulton of Toad River, B.C., daughter Barbara (Stoneman) Ramirez [husband, Roger] of Odessa, Texas, daughter Valorie (Stoneman) Livesay [husband, Tim] of Winter Haven, Florida, son Lanny Williams [wife, Siriwan] of Silt, Colorado and daughter Olynna Williams of Meeker, Colorado. Many grand children, great grand children and great-great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday December 21st at 11 a.m. at Buffalo Hall in Meeker, Colorado - 275 6th Street, (next door to Chippers).
