
Albert E. Woodard, 82 years young, went to be with Jesus Saturday, April 23, 2016. Born in Mississippi, he was an M.P. and under cover intelligence with the Army on Okinawa. Al received a B.S. degree in accounting and Masters in Management. He retired from Coastal Unilube. Al touched many lives while he walked this earth as a volunteer. He loved planning and traveling with Christian Tours for senior adults. He played Santa for 20 years at day care centers, nursing homes and for children of employees. He worked on Navaho Indian Reservation and hosted exchange students and chaperones from Spain and France in the summer for several years. Al was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Caston and Annie May Davis Woodard, brothers Leroy, Charles, Robert "Bob", Jim and Thomas Woodard and sisters Ora Cates and Helen Craig. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Ruth A. Woodard, daughter, Sheryl D. Harrison (Richard), sister Catherine Kelly and many wonderful nieces and nephews as well as children who are as close as grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, April 30 from 12:30- 2 p.m. with memorial services at 2 p.m. at Covenant Baptist Church, 3170 Houston Levee Rd, Germantown, TN. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Baddour Center, Senatobia, MS or one of your choice.
