

Aline Moran Wray, 99, passed away Thursday, December 3rd. Aline was born to John and Aline Moran. Aline was known as “Snookie” to her friends and Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her earlier years she attended Snowden Elementary and Central High School. Aline went to work for Fisher Body right out of high school where she met her husband Andrew “Andy” Wray. They were married just short of 50 years and attended St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Highland. Aline was a member of the $1,000,000 club in real estate sales. She worked for Lester Samuelson and Caldwell Banker. Aline was a member of the Madonna Circle and Memphis Cursillo of which she made the first one. Mrs. Wray was preceded in death by her husband, son, Andrew M. Wray III, and her two sisters Dorothy Jennings and Lucille McNichols. She is survived by one sister, Anne Griesbeck. Aline leaves her daughters, Linda Wray Jordan (Don) and Nancy Wray Chiozza (Lou Jr.), and a daughter in-law, Linda Wray. Aline was a grandmother to 9 grandchildren, Elizabeth Orians(Steve), Lynn Armstrong (Bill), Andrew M. Wray IV (Dawn), Lee Anne Kasper (Ken), Gregory Jordan (Rachel), Don Jordan Jr. (Ginger), Lou Chiozza III (Tina), Mark Chiozza (Amy), and Brian Chiozza (Ashley). Aline also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren. The most important thing in Mrs. Wray’s life was her belief in God and Jesus Christ. The family of Aline Moran Wray would like to thank the staff at Trezevent Terrace for taking such good care of her. Visitation will be December 7th, from 11:00 to 12:30 at Memphis Funeral with a funeral mass to follow at 1:00pm at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Highland. Burial will be at Memorial Park. Memorials in Aline’s name may be sent to St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 3531 Spottswood, Memphis, TN 38111 and to the Madonna Circle, or Memphis Cursillo.
