Allen Bradley Bowers, age 58, passed away January 5, 2019 in Memphis, after a short illness. He is survived by his son, AJ, his parents Patricia Phillips and William Bowers, his brothers, William Jr (Lisa) of Southaven, MS and Robert (Melody) of Portland, OR.
Allen graduated from then, State Tech as an Automotive Technician and worked as one for several years. Later, he attended the University of Memphis and graduated with a Geology degree after visiting South Africa and Cuba for his studies. He loved his son, AJ passionately and was very sentimental toward his family members. He also considered himself quite the self-taught locksmith and gunsmith.
The family wishes to thank Delta Medical Center and St. Francis hospital along with Crossroads Hospice for their recent care for Allen. Their kindness and compassion is greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made to the Church Health Center that treated Allen the past or a charity of their choice.
A gathering of friends and family will be held January 10, 2019 from 6- 8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Refreshments will be provided by the family.
