Ann Scott Lynch

Ann Scott Lynch, died on October 25, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on March 23, 1924 to Hugh Millard & Mary Ira Martin Scott in Saulsbury, Tennessee, Ann’s father worked for the Southern Railroad which took the family to Tuscumbia, Alabama until Ann was in the second grade then moved to Memphis. Ann attended Peabody elementary School, Fairview Junior High school and graduated from Tech High School. She married her high school sweetheart Robert “Bob” Craig Lynch on September 5, 1941 and they shared seventy years together until his death in 2011. Ann was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. Ann was a devoted Christian who worshiped our Lord, loved her church, family and friends. Ann’s family will receive guests on Saturday, November 1 beginning at nine o’clock in the morning until funeral services begin an hour later at ten o’clock all at Kirby Woods Baptist Church. Services will be led by Jim Collier and David Love both of Kirby Woods. Along with her husband Bob, Ann was also preceded in death by her siblings Mary Aileen Scott Sullivan, Edith Nell Scott Pund & Hugh Allen Scott. Ann is survived by her three children Mary Janet Lynch of Memphis, Tennessee, John Allen Lynch of Carrollton, Texas and James Dennis Lynch of Memphis, Tennessee; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
