Ann Thweatt, 92, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, Feb.14, 2017 in Ash Flat, AR. A published writer, story teller, and piano player, Ann was known for her beautiful smile and her contagious kindness and enthusiasm. She will be missed terribly, but her legacy will live on through all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Patsy Crawford of Cherokee Village, AR and Don Thweatt of Memphis, TN; her brothers Bobby, Jim, Nick, and Bill Wallace; her sister, Sara Malley; many nieces and nephews; and 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 37 great-great grandchildren knew her as 'Mamaw'. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Laura Wallace; her husband, Gilbert Thweatt; her son, Butch Thweatt; her granddaughter, Kelly Lovett; her brothers Leon, Gene, and Wesson Wallace; her sister Christine Grooms; and two great-great grandchildren, Braxton 'Haus' Fender and Chevy Key.The family cordially invites friends to share remembrances of Ann on Saturday, February 18 at 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
