Annie Margaret Turnage

Annie Margaret Gatewood Turnage, 87 died Sunday March 17, 2013 at Baptist Hospital Desoto. She was born May 16, 1925 in Saulsbury, TN; retired from General Electric and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. Annie Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Turnage, her daughter, Carol Ann Williams, her parents James and Neal Gatewood, four brothers, Leonard, Cecil, John and Harold and four sisters, Ethel Clark, Evelyn Ray, Josephine Daniel, and Geraldine Patrick. She is survived by three granddaughters Leigh Ann Williams, Natalie Rauscher (John), Emily Marshall (Michael) all of Memphis and one grandson, Jason Williams of Jackson, TN. She also leaves four great grandchildren, four nephews and six nieces, her beloved niece, Peggy Raburn and her devoted friend Niline Rodgers and a host of great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20 from 1 pm until service time at 2pm at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
