Arthur “Art” Karl McFarland, Jr., 68, passed away September, 18, 2010. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Mr. McFarland was born in Damariscotta, Maine and lived most of his life in Memphis. He graduated from Memphis State University and worked forty years for the State of Tennessee. Art is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kay, daughter Kelly of Memphis, son Karl (Rose); 3 grandchildren, Kirsten, Andrew and Brianna all of Nixa, MO; mother Phyllis McFarland; sister Judy (Ken) Cotton of Maine; brother Fred (Susan) McFarland of Florida; and extended family and friends.
