Mrs. Ava Poe Petreman of Memphis passed away on November 18, 2015 at 7:47 P. M. at Signature Healthcare in Memphis. Born in Calhoun County, she would have been 90 this December 28. She was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Poe, her first husband, Frank Poe, her grandson Jeffrey Allison, her second husband, W. R. Petreman, and her sister Geraldine. She leaves one daughter, Sandra Scoggin, and one grandson, Brad Allison. She also leaves one stepdaughter, Claire Petreman Bevell, and one stepson, Paul Petreman, seven step-grandchildren (Julie, Carrie, Christy, Laurie, Joshua, Barry, and Daniel) and 20 step-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. Mrs. Ava worked as a catalog sales representative for Sears Roebuck for 31 years.There will be a graveside service at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh-LaGrange Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Rev. David Love of Kirby Woods Baptist Church will preside.
