Barbara Cobb Hardison

Barbara was born November 28, 1948 to Owen and Ione Cobb in Irwin, NC. In 1973, she met John David Hardison in Orlando, FL. They wed in 1974, going on to have two children, William Andrew Hardison and Angela Love Hardison Straub.

Barbara had a long career in Human Resources, serving as a Manager for Dobbs Houses and Director for Methodist Hospital before transitioning to a successful career in SAP consulting. She was passionate about her work and enjoyed the life-long friendships she made during her career.

After a 30+ year career, Barbara retired to help take care of her new granddaughter. While retired, she was dedicated to and cherished her time loving on her two grandchildren, Ella and Holden.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents and sisters, Kathleen Cobb Sawyer and Bonnie Cobb. Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Hardison, her two children William Andrew Hardison (Heather) and Angela Love Hardison Straub (Jon), her grandchildren, Ella Love Straub and Holden Michael Straub and her sister Jo Cobb Rains. She also leaves loving nieces and nephews.

A private memorial will be held for Barbara. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Barbara’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
