

She graduated from Humes High School and began a career at Memphis Bank and Trust. She went on to advance in a career at GE Capital until her retirement. And in retirement, she pursued her love for interior design. Barbara was very gifted and talented at interior design and loved working in that field.
After 12 years of courtship, she married the love of her life, Jimmy, and remained devoted to him for 28 wonderful years. Barbara was a faithful follower of Christ and gave her life to Jesus at a young age. She loved Jesus and Jimmy! Always together, she and Jimmy served others in the church and in the community.
She leaves behind her beloved nieces, Karen Wilder Smith (Kue), Stacey Wilder, Tina Murphy (Greg), Lisa Hodge, and Jamie Perkins (Tommy).
Barbara is reunited with her husband James L. Moore, Sr., her beautiful daughter Kimberly Norwood Jordan, her father Kenneth Campbell Tompkins, her mother Mary Gaines Norwood Tompkins, and her two sisters Joyce Ann Hodge and Nina Faye Tompkins.
Barbara Sue Moore is now at peace in the arms of her Savior!
A gathering of family and friends for Barbara will be held Wednesday December 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bellevue Baptist Church, Pollard Chapel, 2000 Appling Rd, Memphis, TN 38016, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
