Mrs. Duke was born in Kennett, MO, on July 5, 1926. She graduated from Kennett High School and Memphis College with a degree in nursing. She worked at Methodist Hospital and, upon leaving, was a homemaker, caregiver, and Christian example. She was a loving daughter, wife, and mother. She always stepped up to care for her family and friends, using her nursing degree to help others.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elmer J. Ray; mother, Dora Ray; her grandmother, Alberta J. Ray; and her beloved husband, John B. Duke. Beckae and John had a wonderful and loving marriage for 54 years. Both were heavily involved in Highland Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Duke Hundley; grandson, Col. John Hundley (Mary); granddaughter, Melissa Christopher (Jeremy); grandsons Ethan Hundley, Conner Christopher, and Gavin Christopher.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday March 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery processing from Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. All are welcome to attend.
