Betty Maloney Shelton

Betty Maloney Shelton of Memphis, TN was born on May 26, 1927 in New Madrid, MO to Clyde and Lucille Maloney. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 14, 2015 at the age of 87. Betty worked as an accountant/bookkeeper for 25 years before beginning her Real Estate career with The Starnes Company and retired as an Agent before moving to Greenwood, MS. Betty was a member of the Germantown Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Neel Shelton, and later by her second husband, Kenneth Krafcheck.

She is survived by her son; Rocky Lynn Shelton(Darlene) of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Blake and Allie Shelton, great granddaughter; Adalynn Shelton, and siblings; Dorris Kelly of Greenwood, MS, Bill Maloney of Indianola, MS, Virginia Redd of Germantown, TN, Emma Sullins of Collierville, TN, and Mona Nash of Greenwood, MS.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Feb. 20 from 4-7pm at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. A graveside service will be held on Satday, Feb. 21 at 11am in the Grand Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are to be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
