Blanche Lowe Miller, age 92, passed away on October 7, 2016, at Baptist Hospital. She was a native Memphian, born October 12, 1923, the only child of Bryan and Merle Myers. She graduated from Central High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She grew up at Highland Heights Methodist Church and was very active in the Methodist Church in Lexington, Virginia while her husband attended Washington and Lee University, and upon return to Memphis spent many years in variety of ministries at St. Luke's UMC.
She was the widow John Q. Miller, Jr. following 39 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia M. Marshall (Rev. Sam), and her son, Bryan Miller (Dena) 5 grandchildren, and four honorary great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, on Tuesday, October 11, at two o'clock in the afternoon preceded by visitation beginning at noon.
