Brian graduated from Cordova High School in 2003. Brian was blessed with a high level of mechanical aptitude and loved the outdoors. He had been employed in construction and landscaping for 15 years. He loved animals and put his concerns for animal’s safety and welfare above his own.
Brian is survived by his daughter Harper of Arlington, TN, his parents Mark and Karen Busby of Lakeland, TN, his sister and brother-in-law Lauren and Chris Zelinski of Memphis, his sister Jennifer Busby of Memphis, a niece Maya Zelinski, and nephews James Zelinski and Cayden Busby-Frazier, all of Memphis. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Rev. Philip Weatherwax and Janie Weatherwax of Oakland, TN, Dr. David Busby and Joan Busby of Alma, AR, Deby Busby of Wynne, AR, Steve Sharp of Marshall, MI, Sandy and Mike Eplee, Marshall, MI and Linda and Tim Johnston, Battle Creek, MI. He is also survived by a host of cousins and was very close with Brandon Busby and Brandi Smith of Wynne, AR. And last, but not least Brian is survived by his loving canine companion Capone.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Rev. James and Oleta Busby of Forest City, AR, Jack and Joan Sharp of Marshall MI and Lyla Sharp of Marshall, MI.
Brian loved the University of Memphis Tigers and was so excited about the upcoming football and basketball seasons. He would so appreciate a big Go Tigers from all his friends and family.
Services will be held Tuesday, August 21 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave in Memphis. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM followed by the service at 6 PM with Rev. Philip Weatherwax and Dr Michael Crouch officiating.
