C. M. Crews Jr.

C.M. Crews, Jr., 74 of Bartlett passed away August 28, 2011 at his home. Mr. Crews served in the United States Navy during Vietnam, then in the United States Army and retired from the Military after 26 years of service. He was a member of Ellendale Church of Christ. Mr. Crews was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Sojourners and of the Harley Owners Group both local and national. He was also a plank owner of the USS Holland C.M. is survived by his wife, Winnie Crews; daughter Amy Prince of Bartlett; sons Douglas Matthews of Ripley, TN, Ollie Matthews, Jr. of Halls, TN, Andy Crews of Samburg, TN and Chris Crews, 32nd degree, of Bartlett; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lana Jo Berry and sister Mary Lois Dudley. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 31 from 5-8 pm with a Masonic service at 7 pm; funeral services will be at 12 pm on Thursday, September 1 both at Family Funeral Care.
