Carole Anne Wagner, 79, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015. The loving wife of Jerrold Wagner and mother of Thomas Wagner, she was born in Pontiac, Michigan. Mrs. Wagner was a steno for Pontiac Motor Division where she met the love of her life. She was married in 1956 and, shortly after the birth of Thomas, the family moved to Memphis in 1958. She moved to New Orleans and then back to Memphis again. Carole was a great homemaker and she loved her home and yard. She was a wonderful hostess and was the “cookie champion.” She worked in the credit office at Goldsmith’s for many years. She is survived by her husband and son as well as her brothers, John and Donald, her sister, Nancy, and her nieces Cindy and Jill. She will be missed by all. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday evening, April 24 from 5-7 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis. Interment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
