Cathy Lanette Harding

She married James Barrett Harding on May 6th, 1976. They were married for 41 years. Cathy stayed home to raise her four children for 22 years before teaching for Harding Academy Cordova and White Station. Cathy displayed the heart of a servant and showed the love of Christ to everyone she met, and poured love into the children she taught.

Evident throughout all she endeavored, Cathy’s greatest passion was Jesus Christ. She modeled Christ’s love as a wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her parents, Charles and Miriam Olree, her husband Jim, their children, Laurie and her husband Radu, Julie and her husband Paul, Barrett, and Miriam and her husband Hayden, and her grandchildren, Ella, Allie, Ian, Brooklyn, Elizabeth, Madison, Eva, Charles and Lucy. She has one sister, Karen and her husband Granville with their sons Barry and Andy.

The memorial service for Cathy will be held at White Station Church of Christ on Wednesday, February 28, at 1:00pm with a visitation time beginning at noon.

Family requests donations to Compassion International in lieu of flowers. She “adopted” a pre-school boy and about a year later a young girl the last five years of her life. They gave her much joy!
