

CECELIA RICHARTZ JACKSON, After a long and productive life, Cecelia Richartz Jackson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is now reunited with her husband, John Edward Jackson; her parents, Opal and Joseph Edward Richartz; and her elder sister Elizabeth Richartz Patterson. Cecelia leaves behind two daughters, Judy Jackson of Memphis and Nancy Hobby (James Curtis) of Woodstock, GA; a grandson, Drew Edward Hobby (Allison) of Tampa, FL; and a granddaughter, Brooke Cecelia Winans (Elijah) of Woodstock, GA; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Mary Richartz Mitchum of Memphis and several nieces and nephews. Taking care of her family was Cecelia’s greatest joy as well as caregiver for children of friends and family. Cecelia will be greatly missed by her family but is in God’s care. She was a longtime member of Colonial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel.
