Charles Arthur Flynn 88 passed away January 2, 2014. He was a WWII veteran, a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Berclair Masonic Lodge, and had retired from a long career in the grocery business including A&P supermarkets of Memphis.
He was predeceased by his parents Charles Kelley and Flossie Bennett Flynn; a sister Euneta Konyack; a brother James Flynn.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Martha Flynn, three daughters Phyllis (Charlie) Herron, Barbara Watson, Aneta (Betsy) Freeman; a son Charles N. (Chuck)Flynn; a brother Ralph Flynn and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Flynn will be conducted Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel.
