Charles Francis Polinski, 68, passed from this Earth to his Eternal Home at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House on October 9, 2018. Chuck was a native of Waukegan, IL, being born in Chicago, IL. on October 10, 1949. Chuck was a casualty of Leukemia after a 9 year battle to overcome handicaps brought on by a TBI that occurred in 2009. He had fought his way back to a good life when he was diagnosed with Leukemia (CML) in 2016. He transferred to Memphis in 1980 and was a huge fan of the city and the culture from this area. Chuck was a proud second generation immigrant, proud to be of Polish descent and bear a Polish name. He was a man of the finest character, kind, generous, hardworking, disciplined and just plain sweet. He did not have an evil bone in his body. Chuck earned degrees in Engineering from University of Wisconsin and an MBA from University of Memphis. He played 6 instruments beautifully and loved music and dancing. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, but he shown brightly as a Grandfather. He was crazy about the Grandchildren, and very active with each in sports, education, scouts, fishing and tennis. He was tireless.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 35 years Jeannette Gaines Polinski, his Mother Adele Keeper, and three sisters, Lori Polinski ,Loretta Polinski Moylan and Laura Polinski Murdy. His children and their spouses Cara Bethe Sievers, Angela Royston, Jack Davis, 6 Grandchildren (Russell, Rachel, Mark, Nicholas, Everett, Gavin-born Oct 9th 2018), 1 Great Granddaughter (Aria) and a host of cousins. He is predeceased by his Father Leonard, Brother Lenny, Sister Leonore and his son Christopher Polinski.
Memorial service to be held at 2:00 October 20, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, Poplar & Second Streets in Memphis, TN., reception immediately following service at the Church.
Chuck will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends, may God hold him close.
