Being created in the image of the Divine, Chris Anthony Blancett passed into the presence of a loving God on November 5, 2022. Born June 4, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was raised with a deep appreciation for the bond of family. His kind spirit, wit, and infectious laugh proved undeniable to those privileged enough to cross his path.
After graduating from Harding Academy in 1991, he continued to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Memphis and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert “Bobby” Blancett, Jr.; uncle, William “Bill” A. Hatmaker; and aunt, Loretta Jo Hatmaker. He is survived by his fiancé, Charles Stanley; mother, Martha Jane Blancett; two brothers, Robert Michael “Mike” Blancett (Demesia) and Jeffrey “Jeff” G. Blancett (Lauri); three nephews, Riley, Nicholas (Kendall Christian), and Jonah Blancett; several extended family members; a host of treasured friends; and three fur-babies, Chance, Chandler, and Barnaby.
Services will be on November 10 at Lindenwood Christian Church, 2400 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:30 am, with a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm, and a reception to follow. Interment will be held at Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Lindenwood Christian Church Music Ministry at the church address.
