Christopher T. Franz, aged 64, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on July 8, 2024. Born on June 5, 1960, Christopher was a beacon of creativity and kindness, deeply involved in his community and dedicated to his artistic pursuits.
A graduate of Newark Catholic High School and the Columbus College of Art and Design, Christopher's passion for art was evident in his career as an artist specializing in animation. Known affectionally as "Uncle Toys" by his nieces and nephews, he cherished action figures and Legos, which fueled his creative spirit. His work extended beyond personal artistry; he was a beloved staff member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic Church and a puppeteer for Les Passes Kids on the Block.
Christopher's life was marked by his commitment to service, exemplified by his active membership in the Knights of Columbus and various volunteer activities. His legacy as a creative, loving husband, son, and brother will be cherished by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Patty); parents, Richard and Lee Franz; sister, Mariann Kirch; brother, Richard (Sherry) Franz; in-laws, Thomas (Marti) Cullinan, Timothy (Valerie) Cullinan, Margaret (Jim) Van Buskirk, Catherine (Thomas) Brehm and 17 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Diane, and brothers John and Vincent.

Family Funeral Home at 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122 is assisting the family during this time. Christopher's life and contributions will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, and his artistic legacy will continue to inspire.
Services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Germantown, Tennessee. Visitation is at 10:00 AM in the Narthex, followed by a mass at 11:00 AM.
