Corinne Alice Robinson Peterson

CORINNE ALICE ROBINSON PETERSON, 91, passed away October 10, 2010. Corinne was born in Winterset, Iowa to A.R. and Clara Robinson on May 13, 1919. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, John C. Peterson; her daughters, Clarice Hammett (Harry), Cecelia Randolph (Robert), Cheryl Morrow, Claudia Knight (Robert), and close family fiend, Judith Price. She was predecased by her brothers, Robert, William and Richard Robinson, as well as two beloved grandchildren, Stephen Andrew Randolph and Emily Ann Randolph. With her husband, Corinne owned and operated Peterson Plumbing Company in East Memphis for many years. She was a loving grandmother to John Hammett, John Randolph, Jr., Laura and Caroline Randolph, John Morrow, Jr., Elizabeth Bridges, Richard Higginbotham, Jr. and Gena Hightower. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She found special joy in her family, especially at family gatherings for holiday and birthdays. Corinne was a member of the LCMS Lutheran Church. She and John took great pleasure iin becoming charter members of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Oakland, TN, when that congregation formed in 2005. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 13 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. The funeral service will be at 12 noon, Thursday, October 14 at the funeral home, with interment immediately following the service in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Forest Hill-Irene.
