Curtis Williams, Jr., affectionately known as “Butch” a name given to him by his grandmother Jessie Whitten, passed away on Thursday December 30th 2021, in Memphis, Tennessee, with his wife of 45 years by his side.
Curtis was born on September 28th 1955 to Curtis Williams, Sr. and Bobbi J. Williams of Chicago, Illinois. He attended and graduated from Fenger High School in Chicago. Growing up on the south side of Chicago Butch loved playing golf or shooting pool with his brothers. Skating or ‘stepping’ at the local clubs was always a favorite past-time for him. Butch had many friends who he enjoyed being with, grilling, playing dominoes, or bid whist, however, fishing was his greatest love. Butch was a family man who truly loved his family, whether it was family gatherings, going to amusement parks, shopping sprees, driving around Los Angeles, or going to the Kingdom Hall, he made sure to spend time with his family. Butch will forever be remembered for his big smile but bigger heart.
