David was just a good person who loved tennis and people...he always found the good in evrything and everyone....he was my good friend and I will miss him....

David and I shared many great moments together starting with the Frayser days.  I will miss hearing his wonderful ideas and perceptions on life.  Miss you,buddy.

My deepest sympathy to David's family.  David's sweet smile, which he always had on his face and his tennis expertise will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace, David.

I knew David for over 20 years and I can honestly say that I have never met any other person who could surpass his work ethics and integrity.  David will  always be remembered by all who knew him, for he was a truly caring human being whose kindness and generosity were his greatest gifts and he shared them freely with all. 
David will be missed by many, but we know that his generosity has been recompensed one-hundred fold and now he enjoys the Peace and Unconditional love of God for all eternity.

David seemed to always be so interested in you.  He always  did have a sly, sort of twinkle about himself.  I will miss him enormously and feel honored to have known him.  My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I still have great memories of David as a dear friend.  He is a cool guy. I know we will all miss him. My prayers will always be with his friends and family. I know he is with Jesus in Heaven. David's family: My deepest prayers and heart felt sympathy.   I am hurting but all I can remember  are the good memories--there are no bad memories.  He was my neighbhor and friend.  We had many chats when I live  in Memphis and we visit each other.  Yes, your smile, sense of humor, good nature and forever young looking and nice looking face.  I told my kids that I never heard him say anything bad  and no one ever said anything bad about him. My heart goes out to David's family and his close friends. I knew David for over 20 years, going back to when Varsity was out at Frayser Tennis Center. I would go out there to pick up string and would end up staying, just to visit with David and Don. David loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor and fun. He was also known for being kind and thoughtful. A few months ago my daughters had been dropped off at Leftwich after school and were waiting there for me to pick them up. When I got there I offered to get them a snack and they said David had already given them one. He was also the best stringer ever and gave each and every customer the very best service as well as sharing his knowledge and advice. As so often happens when someone you value is gone, I wish I could tell him how very special he is. David, I will miss you...

Deepest Sympathy to David's family.  I will always remember his sweet smile and gentle sprit when I got him to string my tennis racquets or wait on me when I was in the Varsity Tennis Shop and later at the Racquet Club and Leftwich.
