Deborah “Deb” McElroy, 60, of Memphis, went peacefully, in her sleep, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Deb was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Ovarian Cancer Society. Her three favorite people in the world were her husband, Glenn, her son, John, and her daughter, Melissa. She would drop everything to go fishing with John or scrapbooking and spending time with Melissa. She was our “grub bub” and took care of everyone, making sure to talk to her mother daily. Deb was best friend and soul mate to her husband of 41 years, Glenn, and loved Jesus and shared him as much as she could. Through all adversity, she still knew “God is in control.” Deb is survived by her husband, Glenn McElroy, her son, John McElroy (Casie), her daughter, Melissa Harper (Jacob), her parents, Patricia and Johnny Weaver, as well as one granddaughter, Alia, and one grandson on the way. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 20 from 10am until the service begins at 11am, all at Kirby Woods Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Society.
