Dennis A. Scarborough, Jr.

Dennis Abner Scarborough, Jr., 55, of Cordova, TN, died December 22, 2018 at his home. Mr. Scarborough was passionate about NASCAR and loved following the sport. In addition to NASCAR, he also enjoyed football and loved rebuilding hot rods and old cars. Mr. Scarborough was very skilled in areas involving working with his hands and was always willing to help those in need, even strangers. Over his life, he developed many close friends which he still held dear until his passing. Mr. Scarborough was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Abner Scarborough, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Scarborough, his girlfriend, Phyllis Walton, one son, Michael Hooten, two brothers, Shane Scarborough and Jared Scarborough, and one granddaughter, Amelia. The family will receive friends Friday December 28, 2018 from Noon until 2pm with the funeral service following at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
