Diane F. Griggs Derosas

Diane F. Griggs Derosas, 71, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2013 at Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville, TN, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil J. Johnson and her mother, Nell B. Johnson. She is survived by her husband, James Derosas of Olive Branch, MS; her only daughter, Angela Short; son-in-law, Gregg Short; her two granddaughters, Savannah and Danielle Short, all of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by her three brothers, Frank Cannon of Germantown, TN, Virgil J. Johnson, Jr. (Patricia) of Dawsonville, GA, and Robert A. Johnson (Carolyn) of Collierville, TN. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Diane was a lifelong Memphiian but resided in Olive Branch, MS. She graduated from Messick High School. She most recently worked for Mt. Pleasant Transfer Company as a sales representative. Her passion was ballroom and salsa dancing. She developed many wonderful friendships through her love for dancing. The viewing will take place on Saturday, October 19 at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar from 1-3 p.m. The service will follow at 3 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home. The burial will take place in Memory Hill Gardens following the service.
