

Doris Zora Hall, born April 23, 1920, died December 1, 2014. She resided at Kirby Pines Estates since 1974 where she died of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence R. Hall and siblings Frances Justice, Grace Binford, Nancy Cooper, and John Zora. Doris was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Emily and Tooma Zora, and her siblings included James Zora, John Zora, Grace Binford, Ruth Briden, Frances Justice, and Nancy Cooper. She married Lawrence R. Hall on February 2, 1945 in Pensacola, Florida during Lawrence’s tour of the Marine Corps and her tour of the WAVE’s and was married until his death. Doris worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority until her retirement in 1972, and remained active in the Germantown Art League and other charities around the Memphis area. She loved to paint and display her wonderful work for all to see. She is survived by her son, David L. Hall of Phoenix, Arizona, his wife, Tina, grandchildren Jason Hall and Heather Hall, and great-grandson, Quentin Hall as well as her sister, Ruth Briden and brother, James Zora. She will be interred in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery beside her husband. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on December 8 at the cemetery.
