

Dorothy Blair, 84, a long-time resident of Hixson, TN and a recent transplant to Memphis, TN to be near family, died peacefully in her son's home on Saturday afternoon. She is now in the presence of her Savior and Lord and reunited with her husband, Ken, who has been in heaven for over 11 years. Dot, or DotDot as she was named by a grandchild 25 years ago, was a lady full of life, love, and laughter. She adored her family, especially her one and only child, and always enjoyed being in the middle of the fun. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church in Chattanooga and attended Bellevue in Memphis where her son was Minister of Music. Her mischievous grin and infectious giggle will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E Blair of Hixson; her parents, Gardner and Vicie Montgomery of Boaz, AL, brothers Ralph Montgomery and Clyde Montgomery; sister, Louise Ayers; and her first granddaughter, Christine Marie Farr. She is survived by her brother John Montgomery (Gay) of Ft. Myers, FL; her son, Rev. Mark E. Blair (Mardi) of Memphis; her step-daughter Linda B. Farr (Dr. John Jr.) of Chattanooga, grandchildren John Farr III (Geri) of Phoenix, AZ; Kathleen F. Stinnett (Tyler) of Atlanta, GA; Kristen Blair of Nashville; Hunter Blair (engaged to Amanda) of Knoxville and 3 great-grandchildren . She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, and an untold number of good friends. She will be buried, with her beloved husband Ken, Monday, August 15th at 12:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on with her son Rev. Mark Blair presiding. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home - North Chapel on Monday, August 15.
