Edward Booth Ebbing Jr.

Edward B. (Ed) Ebbing, Jr., 87, died on September 1, 2017. Mr. Ebbing was born in Memphis on January 3, 1930, the eldest son of Edward B. Ebbing and Catherine Conaghan Ebbing. Ed graduated from Christian Brothers High School and from Christian Brothers College. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a 20-year employee of William W. Bond Jr. & Associates - Architects and Engineers. During his tenure with that firm he served in many positions, including as Managing Director of the firm's European office, and retired from the firm as its President. He later worked with Management Computers Controls, Inc. where he served and enjoyed many functions within the company. He retired as Executive-Vice President after 24 years with that firm. He enjoyed his retirement years and enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother William and his son, Edward B. Ebbing, III. He leaves his loving wife Nancy and a stepdaughter Mrs. Stephanie Russell, and her husband Sam Russell, of Southaven, MS. He also leaves his very dear cousin Mrs. Clare Schaedle, and his god-daughter Mrs. Jane Adkins, both of Memphis, granddaughter Dana Adkins of Memphis, grandsons Zachary Ebbing and Nicholas Ebbing, his cousin Sr. Lillian Conaghan of Atherton, CA, and his dear sister-in-law Mrs. Byron Koelz of Memphis and other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation and reception will be held from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Family Funeral Care. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 also at Family Funeral Care with burial to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.
