Elizabeth Ann Coscia was born January 8, 1943, to the late Louia and Annie Lingua Coscia. She lived on the family farm all her life except for two years when she lived in Madrid, Spain. She was a very adventurous traveler, visiting many parts of the world, sometimes to places off the beaten path. She worked at Goldsmith's downtown until it closed. Her focus in life was never on herself. The needs and concerns of others always preceded her own. Her life's story is a portrait of compassion. She had a child-like faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, and attended Grace Community Church on Fite Road until she became ill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: John L. Coscia, James A. Coscia, DVM, Rev. Louis N. Coscia, and by twin sisters who died at birth. She is survived by her brother, Robert L. Coscia, M.D., and his wife, Karen, of Boise, Idaho, by her sister, Dorothy L. Coscia of Memphis, her sister-in-law, Florine Coscia of Asheville, N.C. and by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank friends for their compassionate, prayerful support the last several years and to thank the staff of Methodist Hospice for its home care of Ann. Visitation will be Monday, November 3, from 12-2pm, with service following at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel. Interment will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to World Visition, P. O. Box 70399, Tacoma, WA 98481-0399.
