Mr. Ellis Loyd Daniel

Ellis was born on January 2, 1941, to Robert and Josephine (Gatewood) Daniel in Saulsbury, Hardeman County, TN. Ellis was the sixth child of eleven children born of this union.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jo, and siblings Bobbie Daniel, Gennette Moore, Bettye Chapman, Effie Fleet, Nancy Wallace and Patti Adams.

He is survived by his children, Trent (Caron) Daniel and Ellen Daniel; grandchildren, Michelle Daniel, Trent Daniel, Jason (Haley) Daniel, Elizabeth Daniel and Trey Daniel; great-grandchildren, Colton, Lola, Brooks, Skylar, Aubrie and Warren; siblings, Peggy Raburn, James Daniel, Donald (Faye) Daniel and Lucy Smith; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Ellis was retired from Canadian National (ICG) Railway as a Conductor having previously worked at Sears Crosstown, Memphis, TN.

He was an avid auto racing fan whether it be NASCAR or Dirt Track and one of his favorite pastimes was watching a baseball game anywhere that he could find one taking place as he enjoyed them best live and in person. Ellis also enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, sitting on his porch or lounging in his hammock on his patio.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 24th from 9:00-10:00 am with Services immediately following 10:00-11:00am at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122.

Interment Service will be held at 12:30 pm, Saulsbury Cemetery, 790 W. College Street, Saulsbury, Hardeman County, TN.
