

Eloise Knight Miller, “MamMaw”, was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 2, 1917 and passed away Monday, September 12, 2016. Eloise was a graduate of South Side High School class of 1936, and was a retired administrative secretary at Hunt-Wesson Foods.
MamMaw was preceded in death by her husband Lester Ray Miller, parents Louis & Blanche Knight, and brother Leroy Knight.
She is survived by a daughter Nancy Miller Wimmer (Pat) and a son Edward Ray Miller (Pat); six grandsons: Christian Wimmer (Brandy), Justin Wimmer (Pam), Brian Miller (Krissy), Michael Miller, Paul Miller (Lisa) and Patrick Miller (Kari);eight great-grandchildren, and a niece Mary Jane Knight Robison (Ronnie).
Mrs. Miller was a member of Colonial Baptist Church and Mizpah Chapter of the Eastern Star. She loved to travel and went on many cruises, car trips with her friends and Eastern Star conventions. She was often compared to the “Energizer Bunny” because of her energy level and desire to be “on the go”.
The Funeral will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 on Thursday, September 15 beginning at two o’clock in the afternoon with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh-LaGrange Road. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials go to the Salvation Army or charity of the donor’s choice in MamMaw’s name.
