Gary Abston "Garebear"

Journeyman Electrician for AC Electric Co. for 38 Years, Gary Earl Abston, passed away November 5, 2018. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Earl N. Abston; father in law, Lyniel Huffman; brother- in- laws, Timothy Auvenshine, Jerry Ballard; nephews, Jonathan Abston, Shea Michael Abston and James Michael Abston Jr.

Gary Abston was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, farmer, and loved all outdoor activities. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to hunt, driving tractors, farming, and planting fields. He was always the life of the party, loved music and dancing.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Beverly Abston, his mother, Billie Jean Johnson; mother- in- law, Emma Huffman; Sons, Gary Abston Jr., Joshua Abston, Jason (Stevie) Hopkins, Christopher (Shelly) Hopkins; Brothers and Sisters, Wayne (Margaret) Little, Debbie (Steve) Timbs, Michael (Cathy) Abston, Mark (Christie) Abston; Sister in law, Tommye Ballard; Grandchildren, Taylor Hopkins, Hannah Sherrod, Peyton Houck, Kaitlynn Hopkins, Hayden Sherrod, Keith Hopkins, Christopher Hopkins; 12 nieces, nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
