George Howard "GH" Boaz, Jr. passed away on march 15, 2026 at the age of 65. GH was retired from the State of Tennessee where he worked for over 30 years. He grew up in Memphis, graduating from Elliston Academy. GH was a big Alabama football fan, and took a lot of heat because he is one of only two Alabama fans of a family of Tennessee Vols, Georgia, and Ole Miss fans. GH enjoyed playing darts with some of his friends, but his favorite times were those spent with his family; especially his nieces and nephews, who he enjoyed playing games with and always wanting to win.
He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Betty Boaz.
He leaves his two sisters, Tina Reublin (Rick) and Karen Floyd (Hal); along with his two nieces, Haley Clancey (Tyler) and Maggie Norton (Jordan), and his two nephews, Chase Floyd (Hannah) and Conner Floyd. He also leaves a great-niece and two great-nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.
Services are in the care of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
