
George D Kay, 83, of Memphis, TN died peacefully March 10, 2014 at the home of his daughter. The only child of Stanley (Kieszkowski) Kay and Veronica Popowski, George was born in Chicago, Ill. George was happily married to Marjory Wolf for 40 years and lived in Olive Branch. He is survived by his children John Kay (Gilda) of Las Vegas, Sierra Lewis (Jeff) of Las Vegas, and Daniel Kay (Kimberly) of Cordova. He is also survived by six grandchildren. As a child, George lost over 70% of his hearing and he overcame this by learning how to read lips. He graduated from high school in Chicago and furthered his career by attending school to become a machinist. For many years, George worked alongside his father as a tool and die maker. He enjoyed remote control airplanes and reading about astronomy. For many years, George and his family were members of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation, at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. will be on Saturday, March 22nd from 12 until 1 with funeral following at 130 at Memphis Memorial Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road.
